Prayer: Faith to Press Forward

Father God I bless your holy and matchless name.

I praise you for being the creator and Father of the universe. You were here before the invention of time and there is nothing or no one that exists like you still to this day.

Father I thank you for being sovereign, just, patient, loving, and all knowing. I thank you for being all powerful. You are the Lord God creator of everything, is anything too difficult for you (Jeremiah 32:27) -absolutely not. Therefore I praise you, I honor you as the one and only TRUE living God.

I ask for forgiveness from my sins and inequities. Forgive me for not living up to my true potential. Forgive me for living in fear and doubt. Forgive me for cowering to things of this world that your word has said that I have over come as a new creature in Christ (2Cor 5:17). Although I know I am to be as Joshua and be strong and courageous because you are with me everywhere (Josh 1:9)- I AM sometimes afraid. Afraid of pain, difficulty, inconvenience, hardship, uncomfortable conversations. Although you tell me that the spirit of fear is not from you- only power, love and a sound mind (2Tim1:7) - sometimes I forget and it is hard to believe that. BUT I have faith. I have faith. I have faith. I trust you. I trust you. I trust you. Because without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore I choose to press forward leaning on your counsel and Holy Spirit. Lord I do not know which way to turn or how things will turn out, but I trust you because all things work together for those who love Him and  who are called according to his will (Romans 8:28). Therefore give me the strength to move forward knowing that things will be different. Knowing that things will change and that I will have to exemplify self-control.

Lord I pray for clear assignments and boldness of speech that is dipped in , gentleness, kindness, and love (Gal 5:22-23). I pray for the individuals  I encounter.  Although I may not know who they are now, I will continue to pray for them anyway, encourage them anyway, be there for them in difficult times anyway. I will use the wisdom received from you to discern their needs. Because I know you will give me the tools and resources to determine what is right (Isaiah 28:23-29), I declare and believe that I will be like the tree planted near a stream and bear fruit in season and whatever I do will prosper (Psalm 1:3).

Amen.
